Sister Wendy Sanders (f)

Wendy has worked at Lambgates Health Centre since 2000, although she has been nursing since 1981.  She trained initially in Sheffield and then completed her midwifery training at Tameside.  Her role is now a nurse Practitioner after completing her MSc in clinical nursing.  Although her special interests are menopause and ear, nose and throat, Wendy enjoys seeing a wide range of problems both acute and long term.  In her spare time Wendy enjoys hiking, cycling and outdoor activities.

Nurse Debbie Simpson (f)

Debbie’s role involves helping people manage their own long term conditions. Also health promotion and assessments in relation to risks of heart disease.She manages the Anticoagulant clinic. Her qualifications include Asthma, Diabetes Diploma and Anticoagulant Therapy. Debbie's special interests are Travel Health and Cardiology.

Debbie enjoys cycling and walking her dog.

Nurse Diane Marsden (f)

Diane joined our team in 2013. She completed a diploma in adult nursing at Manchester University in 2010.

She also does Asthma, Cervical Smears, COPD, Heart Failure, Hypertension, Spirometry and Reversibility, Travel Vaccinations.

In her own time, Diane enjoys camping with her family, socialising with friends and walking.

Mrs Margaret Booth (f)

Margaret worked for the Ambulance Service for many years.  She is trained to deal with a wide range of conditions and treat many minor injuries and illnesses.

You can book in with the Paramedic Practitioner for problems such as:

  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
  • Chest infection 
  • Sprains/strains
  • Sore throat/tonsillitis
  • Coughs and colds not resolving after OTC treatment
  • Headaches 

Please note: The Paramedic Practitioner cannot deal with Babies under 1 year old, pregnancy related problems, Mental Health/Depression, Sick note requests, Medication reviews, penis/vaginal examinations.  If you can disclose the reason for your appointment then the Receptionist can book you in a suitable appointment. 

Clare Ley (f)

Clare joined the practice in 2006 and started as a phlebotomist and has progressed to assistant practitioner, having completed a two year foundation degree course at the University of Bolton. Outside of work Clare enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her two dogs amongst juggling her university essays. 

Hilary Johnson (f)

Hilary studied as an Assistant Practitioner at Bolton university. She officially joined the practice in January 2015 but has been taking clinic at Lambgates for many years. Hilary was born in Glossop and lived here all her life. Her appointments are bookable for hypertension checks, blood tests, ear syringing, B12 injections, NHS Health checks, ECG.
